I have to admit...our house is a lot of fun!!!

Here are a couple of the (funny) things that have been going on around here!!!

G was so excited when his mommy brought his new "motorcycle" home for him!! He couldn't even wait until daddy got it out of the box!
Riding his vroom vroom! Wearing a "hat" that he found in mommy's kitchen cabinet!

One of his FAVORITE things! Watching a movie with his puffcorn and a drink!!! My kinda kid!!! We don't watch many cartoons here, so this was a fun treat!!!

Daddy and G playing Golf....or something like it! Here is how the conversation went:

Daddy: Griffin, put the ball on the floor.

Griffin sits on the floor with the ball

Daddy: No no Griffin, you stand up and put the ball on the ground

Griffin, now standing, sits down again.

We both die laughing!

Griffin stands back up.

Daddy: Ok good, Griffin. Now hit the ball!

Daddy helps Griffin hit the ball.

Both of us: Yayyyyy Griffin!!!

A few hours go by, and as I am in the kitchen, I hear Q yelling from the living room, "No, No! We don't hit people. We only hit the ball" Maybe it was funnier when it happened...but I had a pretty good laugh!!!

Griffin was mr. helper this weekend! Helping daddy unclog the pump. Not sure, but you may recognize g's crazy outfit from my previous post.

Funky Desk Redo! before and after

Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE to redo/repaint furniture!!! I found this desk for $4.99 at Goodwill! I had BIG dreams for it....and after sitting in my garage for 6 months, I finally found the perfect time to start my new project!

Love this...helping mommy pick out paint...and check out the right of the picture...he also thought it would be fun to stack the paint. All Boy!!!

AFTER: This half naked boy couldn't wait to get his booty in this chair! LOVES it...he eats in it, climbs in it...pretty much his new favorite thing...not really sure why we buy him all of those expensive toys!!! HA!
Thought it would be super fun to paint the table top in chalkboard paint!

lessons learned

wow...what a crazy week this has been already and it's only Tuesday!!!

Thought I would type a little about a couple of the lessons I have learned these last couple of days!!! Yes, one of the reasons I blog is to save all of these memories that pass by too quickly...so bear with me if some of the details are a little....well, gross!!!

Lesson #1: Just when you think things can't get any worse....they do. Here is the story...Monday, I had cooked Griffin scrambled eggs for breakfast. Just when I set him in his highchair to eat...he projectile vomits ALL OVER!!! It was EVERYWHERE... I seriously don't know how that much could have been in his little stomach...So, I strip him down right there and take him to the tub, he loves baths, so this makes him feel better immediately! Well, next thing I know he slips and busts his chin on the tub....yep, blood everywhere!!! By this time it was only 8:30 and I felt like I had already had a full day!!! And...I didn't feel like eating my eggs so much after that!

Lesson #2: Don't take (fun sounding, well-meaning) suggestions from friends!!! My maps group was recently talking about letting their kiddos run around naked after their baths...and how much fun it was for them! Well, sounded like fun...so Griffin tried it out today (Tuesday).....NEVER AGAIN!!!! He pottied (and yes, I mean #2) on the floor! I was talking to Q on the phone when I discovered this and he seemed to think it was HILARIOUS!!! Me....not so much!

Believe it or not...as crazy as these last few days sound, it has been beautiful outside, I have started a new fun project (stay-tuned), been able to make it to the gym, and spend time with friends and let all of our little men run off some energy! So, it has been a great week so far!

funny man!!!

People always tell you how much work being a parent is going to be....but they don't tell you how funny it is going to be!!! Our little man CONSTANTLY makes me laugh!!!

Yesterday, Q and I took Griffin to go run a few errands....the first was to get new goggles for swim lessons...he was so proud to hand them to the sales lady and carry them to the car....he could hardly wait for me to get them out of the package....and here is what he did next....I think he likes them! HILARIOUS!!!

Then he wore them like sunglasses for a while!

Next I wanted to stop by TJ Maxx to pick G up a few new outfits...along the way, we found this fun new cooler! G LOVED it and pulled it all over the store...

He didn't want to let it go...so here he is when we were in line to check out....still holding it (makes me laugh just looking at the picture)

And then again after we checked out....and he pulled it all of the way to the car, and it had to sit next to him for the car ride home....sooo funny!

Gosh, I love this little boy!!!

Last week, Griffin and I spent some time at the park with some of our friends! G had the best time with the kiddos....and me with the mommies!

Griffin and his little buddy Conrad! Aren't they too cute!!! They are only 2 weeks apart in age...so they will be good buddies for a long time!
